At least one Minnesota delegate who said earlier he would not vote for Donald Trump on even the second or third ballot at the R-N-C now appears to be leaning his way. Steve Wenzel from Little Falls, a former D-F-L state representative who’s now a Republican delegate, says, “Trump was not my favorite, but I have gotten to appreciate more and more the direction he’s coming from relative to law enforcement, making America not only great again but safe again.”  Wenzel says he first backed Jeb Bush followed by Rubio, Kasich (KAY-sick) and Cruz.

Wenzel says Trump’s selection of Mike Pence as his vice presidential running mate is “excellent” and he could not have done better.  “I’m really excited now for the first time about this ticket,” he says.
