(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a level 3 predatory offender who is no longer complying with the conditions of his release from prison. Rico Rodriguez was released from prison on Aug. 8, 2015 and has been on fugitive status since Oct. 26 when he cut off his GPS device and absconded from a halfway house in Minneapolis. Rodriguez has an extensive criminal history including convictions for
criminal sexual conduct. He was sentenced to prison in 2003 for criminal sexual conduct against a known juvenile female. He was also sentenced to
prison for failure to register as a predatory offender in 2012. Citizens should not attempt to confront Rodriguez. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
