MN-DOT wants public input on revised plan for St. Paul-Grand Portage bike route

August 8, 2016 By Bill Werner

Public comments prompted MN-DOT to make changes to a proposed bicycle route between Saint Paul and Grand Portage State Park and now the agency wants input on the revised plan. MN-DOT’s Liz Walton says in the first round of comments “the number one thing that people responded they would like to see in the route is that they would like it to be comfortable — which you could easily understand to mean they’d like more separation from motorized traffic.”  Walton says they tried to incorporate more off-road and trail segments. There’s a listening session this afternoon in White Bear Lake, Thursday in Duluth, and a week from tomorrow (8/16) in Pine City.
