MN-DOT wants public comment on three plans it says will shape the future of transportation in Minnesota for the next 20 years. The agency’s Kevin Gutknecht says the Multimodal Transportation Plan is the most comprehensive, covering not just roads and bridges but everything from airplanes to bicycles and pedestrians, and everything in between. Gutknecht says, “What we want to do is develop synergy so that everything works well together, because our transportation system is an interconnected system.” There are also master plans for highways and Greater Minnesota transit.
