The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is on YouTube with a message to help parents identify danger signs of possible drug use.
In the video, Washington County Deputy Laura Jackson urges parents to check their kids’ night stands, key chains and elsewhere for drugs and drug paraphernalia. She says she knows some parents will feel like they’re invading their kids’ privacy, but says “this is your house and you’re ultimately responsible for their health and well-being.”
Jackson cautions parents not to be fooled and says even good kids can make poor decisions–whether your student is an athlete, straight A student or band member.
