State education officials say they are cancelling statewide standardized tests after receiving permission from the federal government today. “We are officially cancelling the MCA tests for the remainder of the 2019/2020 school year, says Deputy state Education Commissioner Heather Mueller. Buildings are closed and Minnesota schools are in “distance learning” mode because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
