MN Lynx guard Odyssey Sims apologizes after arrest on suspicion of DWI

June 27, 2019 By Bill Werner

Minnesota Lynx guard Odyssey Sims after practice today apologized for herself and on behalf of the team, prompted by her arrest earlier this month on suspicion of D-W-I. Sims says she takes full responsibility for her actions, will get past it, move forward, continue to play hard and “get over it, eventually.” 26-year-old Sims was pulled over early the morning of June 6th on I-394 and a breath test showed a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit. Lynx general manager and coach Cheryl Reeve says, “More than anything, what our team wants you all to know is, that’s not who we are.” Sims was acquired in a trade this season from the L-A Sparks and leads the Lynx in scoring at more than 15 points a game.
