Early voting for Minnesota’s primary election is up 150 percent compared to this time two years ago, and more than 225 percent higher than in 2014. Secretary of State Steve Simon says Minnesota is on pace to set a record on vote-from-home participation. “Really extraordinary,” he says, “and it tells me at least a couple of things: Number one, people are really fired up to vote. Number two, that people are really interested in using that vote by voting from home.”
There are hotly contested primary elections for U-S Senate, governor, attorney general and several U-S House seats. To have a ballot sent directly to your home, visit mnvotes-dot-org — or you can go to a designated county or city office and vote absentee in person.
The primary election is August 14th.
