The state Revenue Department has launched a redesigned website and Commissioner Cynthia Bauerly says up front are the most common tasks people want to know about. “For example, it includes our Where’s My Refund system,” she says. “How to register for a tax I-D if you’re setting up a new business where you’re gonna need to pay sales tax; how to calculate a sales tax rate. There are a number of different rates across the state of Minnesota.” Bauerly says it’s also easy to get information on filing a tax return and making a payment.
The new website is also device-responsive. Bauerly says, “Whether you want to find out where your refund is on your phone or using a tablet or using a desktop computer, it now will make it much easier to use in any of those formats.”
While the website homepage address is unchanged, other pages have different U-R-L’s, so users will have to update any bookmarks.
