A state Senate committee today gave tentative approval to a bill that would allow some bars to remain open until 4 a-m during the 2018 Super Bowl at U-S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. With the approval of local jurisdictions, bars in Hennepin and Ramsey counties could have longer hours from February 2nd through February 5th of next year. The Super Bowl itself is on Sunday, February 4th, 2018. The bill is sponsored by Senator Karin Housley, a Republican from Saint Marys Point.
