The Republican leader of the Minnesota Senate appears willing to go along with spending more money to fix the state’s troubled vehicle registration system, MN-LARS. Majority Leader Paul Gazelka says he’s “not ruling it out, but I’m irritated. Forty-three more million, but it’s like we’re far enough down the hole that we have to finish it, and I’m not sure that changing mid-stream again is gonna be the best way.”
But Gazelka says moving forward he wants the state’s I-T department to have a different role. The Dayton administration’s request for additional money outraged a number of Republicans.
