The Minnesota Senate today (Thurs) passed a bill to claim Minnesota’s 300-plus million-dollar share of the 26-billion-dollar nationwide settlement with opioid manufacturers and distributors. 75 percent of the money goes to cities and counties, 25 percent to the state. Senators needed little encouragement from Fairmont Republican Julie Rosen to unanimously vote “yes.” “Please stand with me,” Rosen said, “And recognize the justice that Senate File 4025 brings to the many victims and their families for this horrific journey that they have been on.”
