Sen. Paul Gazelka (R-Nisswa)
Republicans in the Minnesota Senate have chosen Nisswa Senator Paul Gazelka as their majority leader. It comes after the GOP won a narrow one-seat majority in the state Senate in Tuesday’s election — although there could be recounts in two close races. Gazelka says voters made a clear choice by putting Republicans in control of the Minnesota Legislature. He pledges to fix the “healthcare crisis created by the DFL,” pass a reasonable budget and “put an end to silly spending.”
