Minnesota students’ scores on the ACT college entrance exam are up half-a-point over last year, meaning the state retains its number five national ranking. But Governor Mark Dayton says Minnesota scored *first* in the nation among states where *all* students took the ACT test. He adds African-American, Latino and Pacific Islander students in Minnesota all increased their average scores by half-a-point. State education officials say Minnesota students also outperformed the national average for those reaching the benchmark for science, technology, engineering and math.
