Manager Derek Shelton is serving as a bench coach for A-L Manager John Schneider. Toronto’s Dylan Cease will be the American League starting pitcher tonight. (Philadelphia, PA) — St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker is the 2026 Home Run Derby champion. Walker went deep 12 times, including each of his last six swings, in the final round to take down Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber by one long ball. He is the first-ever St. Louis Cardinal to win the event. The 24-year-old blasted 31 total homers on the night. Schwarber went deep 30 times. Willson Contreras slugged 21 home runs, Junior Caminero launched 17 long balls, Munetaka Murakami hit nine homers, Bryce Harper and Jac Caglianone each went deep eight times, and Ben Rice belted seven total bombs.

Veteran linebacker Isaiah McDuffie agreed to a contract extension with Green Bay on Monday. He was set to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2026 season. (Mason, MI) — A Minnesota student-athlete is the new U-S-A High School Clay Target League national champion. Nevyn Hengel of Sibley East High School captured the individual title Sunday in Mason, Michigan. After qualifying with a 99 on Saturday, Hengel fired a perfect 100 in the championship round before outlasting 15 other perfect shooters in a dramatic shoot-off to claim the national crown. Another Minnesotan, Nina Slingsby of Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield, finished runner-up in the girls’ competition. Nearly 3,000 athletes from 469 high schools across the country competed in this year’s national championship.
