MNN’s JW Cox takes sportscasting position at University of Northern Iowa

Big news for a Minnesota broadcaster this month. JW Cox was named the Director of Broadcasting for the University of Northern Iowa Panthers and will be the radio voice of football and men’s basketball at the Cedar Falls, Iowa-based school. Radio listeners heard Cox as a news and sports reporter for the Minnesota News Network, as the play-by-play voice of St. Cloud State men’s and women’s basketball teams, on countless high school championship broadcasts, and he in the process is finishing up his broadcast duties with the Triple-A St. Paul Saints this month.

MNN sports director Mike Grimm spoke with JW about his new job for a segment on MNN’s Minnesota Matters:
