The enrollment deadline was extended last week as a result of the state legislature approving a 25-percent discount for 2017 for those not receiving federal tax credits. MNsure CEO Allison O’Toole says the average federal tax credit for qualified Minnesotans is around $600 per month. Those who don’t qualify for tax credits will receive a 25-percent discount in 2017. O’Toole say many individuals who are not enrolled by midnight face a penalty of around $700.
