MNsure officials predict smoother second day after slow-going on open enrollment day one (AUDIO)

MNsure officials predict a smoother second day of the open enrollment period after customers struggled Tuesday morning with long call wait times and a website that was unavailable for a time, along with 70 other state homepages. I-T experts are trying to find out why. MNsure C-E-O Allison O’Toole said Tuesday night, “We’re seeing about 10 times the activity on our website than we did last year…. We’ve seen about 15-thousand applications started — or maybe actually about 18 thousand now, and that just keeps going up throughout the day.”  Governor Mark Dayton blamed Tuesday morning’s MNsure phone line slowdown on robo-calls, which he called “deplorable.”
