Authorities are investigating a crash involving an ambulance near Glyndon. A Moorhead police officer says crews were called to the crash on Highway 10 at around 5:20 am Sunday. Details about the crash were not immediately released, but the ambulance was heavily damaged.
Three men from the state of Wyoming were identified as the victims of a small plane crash which happened Saturday morning near Thief River Falls. The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says Brian Duke, Zach ostertag and Moy Wing, all of Rawlins, Wyoming, died when the single engine plane crashed in a wheat field. Investigators are working on finding the cause of the crash.
A 16-year-old boy was injured in a hunting accident Saturday in Douglas County. The sheriff’s office says the boy and a 17-year-old hunting partner were duck hunting in a boat on North Union Lake. Investigators say the 17-year-old believed his shotgun was empty and put it in a case. He later leaned over the side of the boat to retrieve a duck and accidentally discharged the gun when his knee touched the gun case. The 16-year-old was struck in the right leg. He was treated at a hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Police in the metro suburb of Roseville are looking for a suspect after a deadly shooting on Saturday. It happened outside an apartment building where a man was found shot and witnesses saw a vehicle leaving the scene. The victim’s name has not been released.
Summer-like weather made one last stand on Sunday, bringing record heat to the Twin Cities. The National Weather Service reports a high of 90-degrees yesterday, which edges out the previous record high of 89 for September 24th set in 1935.
