Michael Redlinger
The Moorhead City Council has voted unanimously to approve a separation agreement with City Manager Michael Redlinger. The vote was held after the council met for a half-hour in a closed executive session. Mayor Del Rae Williams and council members won’t discuss the reason for the separation, but Williams says Redlinger did not break any laws or city policy. “I am sad,” Williams said. “You know, in fact I was waiting for myself to bawl during it. He is a fabulous city manager. I loved working with him, highly ethical, professional.” Williams says she understands that people want more information about why Redlinger is leaving, but she says she can’t discuss it. Redlinger will be paid a severance of six months’ salary, plus health insurance, unused sick pay and $5,000.
