State officials say they have more evidence that could link severe lung injuries from vaping, to vitamin E that black marketers use to dilute T-H-C in vape cartridges. State Epidemiologist Doctor Ruth Lynfield says people should avoid vaping illicit T-H-C products — and adds that state health officials are concerned about the safety of vaping in general. “If you don’t vape now, don’t start,” she says. “Pregnant women and young people should not vape.”
Lynfield says if you’re a smoker and using vaping to quit, do *not* go back to smoking — instead consider switching to other FDA-approved methods to stop smoking.
