More than 230 construction projects in the next year aim to help maintain Minnesota’s roads, bridges and transportation infrastructure and improve safety and mobility. MnDOT’s Jake Loesch says “we know it might not feel like it with today’s weather across much of Minnesota, but as we get closer to April, really road construction is about to pick up and in some parts of the state projects have already begun.” Loesch says planned 2022 construction projects include 184 road and bridge projects, plus 51 multimodal projects that will improve airports, water ports and transit infrastructure. Loesch is reminding drivers to be cautious in work zones. For an overview of the 2022 state construction program, including maps and full project lists, click here.
