>> The man who drowned in the St. Croix River between Lakeland and Hudson, Wisconsin has been identified as 19-year old Jeffery Taylor of St. Paul. According to the Pioneer Press, he is the second man in the family to die in less than two months. Taylor’s half-brother was the man who shot and killed himself after a triple homicide on St. Paul’s East Side back in April. Jeffery Taylor, who died while swimming on Tuesday, was the man found by police in a shed with his brother’s 18-month old daughter.
>> Authorities are expected to provide more details today after the death of a metro area school principal. 45-year old Joe Slavin was principal at Skyview Middle School in Oakdale and member of the South Washington County School Board. He was found dead at Carver Lake Park in Woodbury. A cause of death has not been released.
>> Forecasters say the hot and humid weather will continue into the weekend with record highs possible on Saturday. The National Weather Service expects temperatures to reach into the high 90’s from southern Minnesota up to St. Cloud and even Fargo-Moorhead. Triple digit highs are possible in western Minnesota.
