Those in the water held on to the trees until they were rescued. The sheriff’s office says everyone in the group was wearing life jackets.

The injured individuals, including a 17-year-old boy and two 24-year-old women, are all expected to recover from their injuries. (Bayport, MN) — The Stillwater state prison is still on lockdown in response to an assault Saturday that sent two corrections officers to the hospital. The Minnesota Department of Corrections says an officer was attacked by an incarcerated person, and another inmate and officer intervened. A third inmate then jumped in and began assaulting the second corrections officer. Investigators say the two officers were treated for their injuries and later released. The two inmates were transported to the maximum security Oak Park Heights prison and could face felony assault charges.

(Pierz, MN) — A man is hospitalized with a severe stab wound after a traffic stop involving a Morrison County sheriff’s deputy near Pierz. The sheriff’s office says the driver was pulled over late Saturday for suspicion of speeding and D-U-I. The report says the deputy informed the man that he was being arrested when a struggle ensued, and the suspect was injured with a knife. The man was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. Video of the incident has been turned over to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
