>>State Files Lawsuit Against THC Retailer Accused of Selling Illegal Products
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management is going after a T-H-C business accused of selling illegal products and refusing to cooperate with regulators. The O-C-M’s Josh Collins says this retailer was taking “fairly egregious” steps to avoid complying with state law. He says they were selling products that had significantly higher T-H-C content than is allowed under statute and cannabis flower which is not yet legal to sell in the state of Minnesota. Collins says the lawsuits call for the destruction of non-compliant products for sale at ZAZA Lake Street in Hennepin County and ZAZA Grand Avenue in Ramsey County. The stores reportedly sell hemp-based products that are 75 times stronger than the state limit of five milligrams of T-H-C per serving.

(St. Louis Park, MN) — State officials, lawmakers, and developers plan to tout the success of the Minnesota State Housing Tax Credit at a morning (Mon) news conference in St. Louis Park. The program allows businesses and individuals to invest in affordable housing in Minnesota and qualify for a state tax credit of 85 percent of the contribution. The deadline for 2024 contributions is December 6th. The State Housing Tax Credit and Contribution Fund bill was authored by Republican Senator Carla Nelson of Rochester and D-F-L Representative Mike Howard from Richfield.

(Eagan, MN) — Minnesota military veterans and their families are getting a little extra help this holiday season. Beyond the Yellow Ribbon outreach coordinator Stefanie Hurt says Operation Turkey Drop is this morning (Mon) in Eagan. She says, “to the service member or the veteran or their family that gets to walk in and we hand them everything you need for Thanksgiving meal from the turkey to the cranberry to the gravy to the mashed potatoes, to the stuffing, to the green bean casserole and everything Minnesotan.” Operation Turkey Drop will give out 500 meal kits to military families from across Minnesota.

(Red Wing, MN) — Police in Red Wing say a woman is dead and a man is in custody after a standoff Sunday evening. Officers were called to a report of a suicidal man with a handgun and negotiated with him for several hours before he came out of the home. Authorities discovered a woman dead inside the residence. Investigators say there is no danger to the community. No other information is being released.

(Pine City, MN ) — A man is jailed in Pine County in connection with a fatal shooting Friday night in Hinckley. Sheriff’s deputies called to a shooting found a man dead at the scene. They say witnesses identified the alleged shooter and the 31-year-old suspect was later taken into custody. Investigators say they will release more information once charges are filed.

(Duluth, MN) — Duluth Police are releasing more information behind the November 7th murder-suicide that killed five people. Officers say Anthony Nephew killed his two sons and their mothers in separate Duluth homes before killing himself. Police say they’ve dealt with Nephew before; a July 3rd report stating Nephew held a knife to someone’s throat, though no weapon was found. He was also diagnosed with schizophrenia and had recent changes to medications.

(Lavell Township, MN) — A Cloquet man is accused of driving a U-T-V while intoxicated and crashing Saturday night near Hibbing. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to crash in Lavell Township and found the 34-year-old driver with minor injuries. He was later arrested for D-W-I and booked in jail. No one else was involved or witnessed the crash.

(Nashville, TN) — The Minnesota Vikings topped the Tennessee Titans 23-13 on the road Sunday to move to 8-and-2. Sam Darnold threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a T-D. Justin Jefferson caught six passes for 81 yards and set an N-F-L record for most receiving yards in a player’s first five seasons with 6,811. The Vikings defense had five sacks and Harrison Smith sealed the victory with a late interception. The Purple play the 4-and-6 Chicago Bears Sunday at Soldier Field.
