(Undated) – A new statewide poll shows 60 percent of Minnesota voters believe the state legislature should take immediate action to ban assault weapons. The poll was taken two weeks after the mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School. Other numbers show 88 percent of Minnesotans are concerned about children being harmed in mass shootings, including 79 percent of Republicans. The survey was conducted by Everytown for Gun Safety and included 800 likely voters from Minnesota for the upcoming 2026 elections.

(Minneapolis, MN) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Minneapolis say they seized 165,000 illicit vaping products shipped from China. The pallets contained 90 thousand unauthorized e-cigarettes and 75 thousand refill cartridges with a retail value of more than 1.4 million dollars. Officials say the products violated F.D.A. rules and were misbranded and adulterated. C-B-P says the seizure was made possible through intelligence sharing with the Chicago Field Office.

(Duluth, MN) – Fire officials say a house fire early Sunday morning displaced four people and killed two pets in Duluth. Fire crews responded to a two-story, single-family home that was ablaze. All four occupants escaped safely, but one dog and one cat died. Damage is estimated at $116,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office.
