(Minneapolis, MN) — Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman is set to make his decision any day on whether to charge the officers involved in the fatal November shooting of Jamar Clark. Minneapolis Police Chief Janee Harteau (HAR-toe) yesterday posted a video to address potential violence resulting from the decision. She says people will not be allowed to jeopardize the safety of others and the MPD must “strike a balance between first amendment rights with the safety of everyone.” The NAACP, Black Lives Matter and several other groups plan to hold a joint press conference at City Hall this morning (FRI 10am) to respond to Harteau.
