A bill that would reform and place restrictions on the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) passed overwhelmingly in the Minnesota House today by a vote of 122-7. The bill’s author, Republican Representative Sarah Anderson of Plymouth says after a “pattern of abuse from the MSFA”…
The bill expands and modifies the makeup of the MSFA board. It came about after an investigation from the state legislative auditor released last month concluded that MSFA officials had acted unethically, but not illegally when they gave suite tickets to friends and family members.
