The National Weather Service now says it appears at least ten tornadoes touched down Thursday night in south-central and southeastern Minnesota. Survey teams have been assessing the damage for several days and say the preliminary information will likely change as more information is gathered. Officials say the damage indicates there were twisters near Ceylon, Granada, Janesville/Waterville, Morristown, Faribault, Northfield to Cannon Falls, the Cannon River Wilderness Area, Cannon Falls, and Dundas, and Medford/Nerstrand. Some locations that had damage have not yet been surveyed and more tornadic areas could be added to the list. No injuries were reported with the severe storms.
