Most of Minnesota should see steady economic growth over the next several months, according to the latest forecast based on new business registrations at the Secretary of State’s office. Economist King Banaian at Saint Cloud State University says around the state, economic growth remains above average — except in central and northwest Minnesota. He says, “Those two regions… did show some slowing of growth — I mean, they’re still growing, but not as fast as they had in the first half of the year.”
Banaian says employment growth was strong throughout the state, though job vacancies are at very high levels.
