A new report from the Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) finds that the Minnesota Licensing and Registration System (MNLARS) entered inaccurate data over a seven-month period–causing some people to pay different amounts on similar transactions. Deputy Legislative Auditor Judy Randall says, on the flip side of that, however for certain types of transactions like “license plates and wheelage and titles, MNLARS is 99% accurate, so customers are getting charged what they should be getting charged.” The OLA report covered the period from July 24th, 2017 through February 28th, 2018.
