It’s one year from the opening of the new 500-million-dollar Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. Executive Vice President Paul Richard says it will be one of the most modern hospitals in the country with Level One Trauma Center certification expected. Richard says, “We’ve probably outgrown our emergency room downtown years ago. We see 61 thousand people a year in 24 exam rooms. We’re going to 54 exam rooms. Out of those, three of those are dedicated trauma base.” The 11-story, one-million-square-foot hospital along Interstate 94 is one of the largest private construction projects ever in the Dakotas.
