Prosecutors in Reno, Nevada will *not* file charges in connection with an altercation between Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek and a former F-B-I agent at a conference in June, reports the Star Tribune. Investigators say “evidence just was not there” to charge John Guandolo, who claimed Stanek stepped into him using profanity, and the scuffle began when he pushed Stanek away. Guandolo, who argues Muslims are a danger in U-S society, wrote a blog last fall critical of Twin Cities officials, including Stanek. The Sheriff alleges he was physically assaulted but isn’t commenting on prosecutors’ decision.
