The push continues at the legislature to allow restaurants to offer beer and wine to-go during the COVID pandemic, but it appears there will *not* be votes in either the House or Senate during today’s floor sessions. House Speaker, Democrat Melissa Hortman says, “It hasn’t been fully considered yet. I don’t think that there’s any entity holding it up. …Legislators across-the-board have a pretty strong level of concern for our hospitality industry, and our bars and restaurants chief among them.”
Hortman says there are issues surrounding consumption by minors, and making sure legislation is fair to breweries and distilleries.
