Former Minneapolis Police officer Mohamed Noor had bail set at a half-million dollars without conditions, or $400,000 with the conditions that he not have contact with his former partner, surrender his passport and not possess guns. Noor made his first court appearance today on charges of 3rd-degree murder and 2nd-degree manslaughter in the death of 40-year-old Justine Damond last July. Noor’s attorney says his client “acted consistent with established departmental policy and should not have been charged with any crime.” Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman says Noor violated the rules and deserves to be charged.
