North Dakota farmer creates field art in honor of Prince

Retired Edgeley, North Dakota farmer Gene Hanson has created what may be one of the largest Prince symbols yet. He fashioned the huge unpronounceable image, also known as the “Love Symbol” in his field last week in honor of the late pop star.

“I have a little tractor and a three-point disc and I just had an emblem on the dash of the tractor and I just went out in the field and started to work. Got all done….and I thought, gee that looks pretty good.

As for being a fan Hanson says,

“Actually I really haven’t been a Prince fan or anything. But since they’ve been making it such a big deal out of it in Minneapolis… I thought well — I might try that. It looked kind of hard to do it but.”

Hanson estimates the Prince symbol is about 300-feet by 200-feet.  The image won’t be there long, as corn will be planted soon.
