Lynn Rogers and friend
Well-known bear researcher Lynn Rogers, after losing a court battle over putting radio collars on bears, is asking the D-N-R for a permit to put cameras in bear dens. Rogers, whose earlier webcasts attracted thousands of followers on the Internet, says he doesn’t want to have trouble — “I just want to work cooperatively for the good of the state (and) educate over 500 schools who are following this.” D-N-R officials were not immediately available for comment but indicated earlier they would *not* issue a permit. Rogers says the court ruled he did not need a den-cam permit but prefers to work cooperatively with the D-N-R.
