Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a franchise playoff record 44 points on 16-of-24, including 5-of-8 from deep, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block. Tonight marks Edwards fourth 40+ point playoff game of his career, the most such games in franchise history. Edwards now owns all three of the top Playoff scoring performances in franchise history, all of which have come against the Nuggets.

• At 22 years and 281 days old, Edwards becomes the eighth youngest player in NBA Playoff history to record 44 points. His four 40+ point games are the second most in NBA Playoff history for any player aged 22 or younger.

• Edwards becomes just the fifth player in NBA Playoff history aged 22 or younger to record 40+ points/5+ rebounds/5+ assists/2+ steals/1+ block and the first player to do so since Russell Westbrook (May 9, 2011). Edwards is the first player in franchise history to record such a stat line, regardless of age.

• Edwards is the first player in franchise history to record multiple 40+ point games in a playoff series and now has recorded three 40+ point career playoff games against the Denver Nuggets, only Kobe Bryant has more (four games).

• Anthony Edwards becomes the fifth guard since the merger – and the first since Michael Jordan – to take 15+ shots and shoot above 50 percent from the field in six straight playoff games and the first player to do so in a single playoff run.

• Rudy Gobert finished the night with 11 points on 3-of-5 shooting and a game-high 14 rebounds, notching his third double-double of this postseason and the 38th such game of his career. Gobert’s 38 career playoff double-doubles are the seventh-most double-doubles in NBA Playoff history since he joined the league in 2013-14.
• Karl-Anthony Towns ended the night with 13 points and 12 rebounds, recording his fourth double-double of this postseason and his 16th career postseason double-double. Town’s 16 career postseason double-doubles are the second most in franchise history (Kevin Garnett: 16).
• Playing in his 24th career playoff game, Towns became just the third player in NBA Playoff history to record 250+ rebounds and 25+ made threes in their first 25 career playoff games.
