Nurses at Essentia-St. Mary’s Duluth vote Sept. 10th on new contract, negotiations continue at St. Luke’s

Nurses at Essentia-Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth vote September 10th on a tentative new contract, even as nurses at neighboring Saint Luke’s continue contract negotiations. The union bargaining team at Essentia recommends Minnesota Nurses Association members approve the new contract, which provides three percent pay increases in both the first and second years, and 2.25 percent in year three. Meanwhile the next bargaining session at Saint Luke’s is September 9th, although the nurses’ union says it asked for earlier dates.
