Striking nurses are set for a vote today on whether to accept the latest proposal from Allina Health.
Should nurses accept the offer, it would end a four-week strike. The main sticking points have been health care benefits for union workers and patient-to-nurse ratios. If the Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA) does vote to ratify the contracts, they’ll them meet with Allina to draw up a strike settlement agreement, which will include return to work provisions. T
he MNA negotiating team says it’s not making a recommendation on the proposal.
