(Hutchinson, MN) — The two officers involved in a fatal Hutchinson shooting Sunday have been identified. Officers were responding to a disturbance call when a struggle broke out with a male suspect. 23-year-old Jacob Willers of the Hutchinson Police was shot and 34-year-old McLeod County Deputy Matt Wyatt returned fire, striking and killing the suspect, 49-year-old Luverne Christensen. Willers, who was in field training at the time of the incident, was treated for his injury and released. Wyatt became a full-time deputy in December 2013. The BCA is investigating the incident.
