The second woman to attain the rank of brigadier general in the Minnesota Army National Guard is officially promoted this afternoon (230pm) in ceremonies at the Rosemount National Guard Armory. Colonel Stefanie Horvath, a North Dakota native, joined the National Guard in 1991 and has been deployed in Kosovo and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Governor Tim Walz will be among dignitaries on hand for today’s promotion ceremony for Horvath.
