MNsure CEO Allison O’Toole
Officials at MNsure, the state-run health insurance exchange, says things are running more smoothly after a rough start Tuesday morning as the annual enrollment period opened. Customers complained of long call wait times and error messages on the MNsure website. C-E-O Allison O’Toole says, “We’re experiencing again historic volume in terms of calls but also website traffic, and our call wait times are actually lower than they were on our highest-volume days last year.” Governor Mark Dayton blamed the phone line slowdown on robo-calls. And MNsure was among about 70 state websites that were not responding for a period Tuesday morning but O’Toole says the homepage is back up. State investigators are trying to determine what happened.
