A new state law now in effect allows work zone flaggers to report motorists who disregard instructions or are otherwise driving unsafely through work zones. Carrie Robles with Local 563 says it’s a great law to protect construction workers. She says, “I often visit job sites and talk to the flaggers and other construction workers and all too often I hear, ‘I almost got hit six times today, oh, that’s better than yesterday (when) it was ten.’ It’s just too dangerous out there.”
Governor Tim Walz and top officials spotlighted the new law today (Fri) at a site along I-94 in Saint Paul.
