A man from Olivia has pleaded guilty to attempted murder and assault for shooting a man he claimed was encouraging his wife to leave him. 61-year-old Michael Klatt shot Hector resident Kenneth Eckstein at a convenience store where Eckstein and Klatt’s wife both work. Eckstein suffered wounds to his face and hand, but was able to fight back and knock Klatt unconscious. Klatt will be sentenced October 7th.
