Two men were able to swim to shore but another man died after their boat had engine trouble and large waves flipped it over Monday morning off Park Point in Duluth. Authorities say they found 68-year-old Donald Sarter from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin in shallow waters but lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. The victim and the two other men, one from Wisconsin and the other from Michigan, were on a boat owned by a salvage company from Sturgeon Bay. One man told investigators all were wearing life jackets but they weren’t zipped together in the front.
