Minnesota Vikings T Brian O’Neill has been named to the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games, replacing T Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles who is unable to participate due to the Super Bowl. It marks O’Neill’s second career Pro Bowl selection, appearing in his first Pro Bowl following the 2021 season.
O’Neill, who was voted a team captain for the fourth time in his career in 2024, started all 17 games for the Vikings this season and started the team’s Wild Card matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Arizona. He played 1,100 offensive snaps during the regular season, the fifth-most snaps played among all tackles in the NFL, and he started his 100th career game in Week 12 at Chicago.
According to Pro Football Focus, O’Neill only allowed two sacks this season (at L.A. Rams in Week 8, vs. Atlanta in Week 14), tied for the fourth fewest among all tackles league wide in 2024 (minimum 80% block snaps played). His 81.2 PFF Grade for Pass Blocking was a single-season career best, topping his previous career-high grade of 77.9 from 2022.
O’Neill is the seventh Viking slated to participate in this year’s Pro Bowl Games, joining QB Sam Darnold, LS Andrew DePaola, OLB Jonathan Greenard, WR Justin Jefferson, CB Byron Murphy Jr. and OLB Andrew Van Ginkel, and he is the 17th Pro Bowl selection under Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell.
