Paynesville man charged with murdering daughter by setting mobile home on fire

A Paynesville man faces second-degree murder charges after police say he poured gasoline inside a mobile home Tuesday night and set it on fire with his daughter inside. 22-year-old Jamey Newport was pronounced dead at the hospital and her father, 46-year-old John Newport, is in custody awaiting his first court appearance. Investigators have not commented on a possible motive.
