A man convicted of killing his grandparents was sentenced today to life in prison. 34-year-old Gregory Scheel pleaded guilty in Stearns County District Court in August to two counts of first-degree murder. Scheel admitted to assaulting and killing his grandparents, 93-year-old Willie Scheel and 80-year-old Gloria Scheel, on March 21st inside their Paynesville home. Their bodies were found in the back of their car the following day. Scheel is eligible for parole in 60 years.
