Bond has been set at $750,000 for a rural Pelican Rapids man accused of killing and burying his roommate last Thursday.25-year-old Jordan Dalman is facing a 2nd-degree murder charge. According to the complaint, Dalman shot and killed 28-year-old Dylan Butler who he had met at a gunsmith school in Denver. Butler had moved in with Dalman in May after the two had finished their schooling. The BCA was called in to investigate at Dalman’s residence northeast of Dunvilla. Heavy equipment was also brought to the scene. A pit behind Dalman’s home was excavated where authorities found a buried pickup, bags of clothing, paperwork belonging to Butler, and firearms. They also found Butler’s body buried under 10 feet of dirt, debris, and tree branches. Sheriff’s officials also discovered gunshot wounds to Butler’s chest and exit wounds to his back. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
